Iphone Revolution

I searched for a video/article on this topic on purpose because I feel that Apple's Iphone has really begun a revolution. There are now very few people who do not use the Iphone or have some sort of Apply product, such as the ipod, ipad, etc. Apple is an excellent example of a company that would be the leader of a market system. As discussed, it is "survival of the fittest", Apple is certainly the "fittest" as of now. Since the debut of the first iPhone years ago, more and more people have been making the switch. People who had never cared for having a snazzy phone are looking into what the little machine can do to make their life easier. Apple has revolutionized communication and every other element of life through the functions and applications of their products. If this company keeps advancing, extremely likely that it will, what kind of economy can this develop into? Apple has so much control over the world's population. It seems that it could get to a dangerous point for individuality; the "in" thing has become a way of life. Apple has power. And Apple's power may go forth with excellence or corruption.
If Apple can do this, who's to say that this can't be done with all essentials of life.

I don’t know if I agree with the statement “Apple has control over much of the world’s population”. I think they are a huge player in the electronics market but do you truly believe they have ‘”control”?

I said that Apple has control over much of the world's population because the company effects so much of everything that everyone does. If a new model comes out of either the iphone or ipad, people are ordering in no time. Also, they could design a certain application on the phone for pretty much anything and people would use it. Any app they invent would be used by a group of people and thus influence parts of the population. The reason I say they have control is because their techonology is taking over the world and they could use this power for more than good; because the population is getting more superficial all the time.

Apple products are just the flavor of the month right now. They are extremely popular now, but they won't be that way forever. In 5 years, there will be something else that everyone wants. Apple was just the first to pull off the touchscreen smartphone well, with lots of nice features built in. The android platform is just as good (and arguably better) than the iphone anyways. The ios on the iphone flat out sucks. Their computers are ridiculously overpriced, often costing upwards of 50% more than a PC with similar specs. People only buy macs because they like shiny, pretty things and are too stupid to realize how much they are being ripped off. When the next big thing comes along, technology-wise, apple is going to be nowhere near where they are today.
